Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for her A-levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale Coleman expressed regret over being unable to attend a college. Coleman appeared in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she participated in while at high school. Along with winning a prize for her acting skills, the show that she performed was well-received. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman got the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two Awards. In the British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and during the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of The Most Popular Newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was recognized in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters quit the show. Moffat picked her for the role due to her ability to work alongside Smith, and that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has worked in film and television projects. But, she's more known for TV projects than movies. Eva has appeared in a number of television parts, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva as well as being an actress is also a philanthropist, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Eva has had three marriages and also has a daughter with her second husband.
