Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and actor well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in a few Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. The singer also released her debut music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise first made it to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film from 1957 that was a dramatic. This movie was a big hit and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. During this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Louise joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway as well as Hollywood, portraying more somber characters as opposed to her perception of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary but she also made a mark as a successful television director with numerous series, including Supernatural & The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family then moved to Toronto for her early years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the lead role.
