Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and a writer, who has won numerous awards. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). She grew up in an artistic family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. In the beginning she began as an assistant to photographers. Then she shifted her focus towards modeling and directing. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as a promising actor. MacGraw's film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, she was voted the Top female debut at the box office in the world. Her footprints from 1972 and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television show The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was divorced three times.
